Today has been a great day for me. Life is slowly going by day by day and all is good. I still don't have a job, but as for now I am still drawing my unemployment and paying the bills.

I read in the local newspaper today that another company here in this area will be closing in October of this year and over 1,000 people will be losing their jobs. The economy is getting worse instead of better.

My bible study to day was about Stay At Your Post. Ecclesiastes 10:4...If the spirit of the ruler rises against you, do not leave your post; for conciliation pacifies great offenses.

A Crisis Cannot Break The One Who Relies On God's Strength.

When a trial turns our life upside down, we can stay at our post by seeking God's wisdom through prayer.

Little Extra Money (really does help) !

The land of Wunder is getting a little bit hard to keep going with the econonmy crisis, so I had to find ways of making more money for paying bills and living expenses. Having said that and having to explore more ways I have ventured into making money online and it really does help a little (every little bit helps) do you not agree with that saying.

One of the ways I am making a little extra money is Work From Home HQ.

S.O.S.

Well today is Saturday and I haven't posted on my blog in about a week or two. That is because nothing new is going on it is the S.O.S.

I did start walking in the evenings to help get in a little exercise for my good looks and for my health. I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

I got up this morning and went and did a little work in my yard. Now I am inside doing some house work, a little spring cleaning if you can call it that. Very boring isn't it.

Just blessed to be here.

How Sweet It Is.

Being without a job leaves you open to help others out. Well today was one of those days, I did a little baby sitting, I haven't held a baby that small and sweet in a long time. I thought she was going to whip my posteria but I handled the little darling, I had to speed up a little because I was a little too slow for her. She wanted her bottle and I had to warm the bottle, got it too hot had to let it cool. She was wimpering and crying all this time. Now this baby is on breast milk, thank goodness I had no trouble with her taking her bottle, which is cool enough to give to her now.
But she is still whinning and wimpering, I know what is wrong with her she is hot, I remember babies don't like to be too hot. I had the furnace on so I turned it down. Didn't help at first, so I took off that very heavy jumpsuit she had on. Her mother brought her over in this outfit. After I changed her outfit to a cooler version of the wear, she took the rest of her bottle and went to sleep she slept from 9:00am to12:30 pm. good nap. Gave me time to do a little things around the house.

Isn't life grand. I have to admitt I loved every minute of it.

Approved

With the lost of my job. I have no medical insurance and I am on prescribed medication. I applied for assistance and was appproved. Now this is very helpful and I am taking it one day at a time. I get this medication free for one year. It is through my doctors office that I have to receive this medication.

I am also looking into ways of making a little extra money to help with the cost of living. I am filling out application all over this little city with out any success.

Do I have to keep looking and searching for assistance? Only time will tell.

Only In America. Land Of The Free To Take.

My life has turn around drastically in the last couple of months. The month of December 2008 was the last day of my employment. I feel like I am too old to be looking for a job and not old enough to retire. It is like being between a rock and a hard place. Not to feel sorry for myself.
I have been out trying to get help with my medical situation and trying to get prescription assistance. I am on medication and have no way of getting it.

The area of the world where I live is completely jobless at this time because of layoffs, closings and other things.

If there is a job available so many people are applying for it that it makes the headline news. It is just that serious around here.

I have yet to start drawing my unemployment insurance. I can draw that for 7 months whenever it does start. And with the extension a little longer.

I have been working and caring for myself and my family all my adult life and this is something I never thought will happen to me.

And don't let me forget to mention that I worked for one company for 24 years and it went bankrupt and lost all of our retirement money. Now ain't that ashame. I say only in America can that happen.

This other job that just closed on me I worked there for 9 plus years and they didn't have a retiremnent program but I did have 401K. If you have been watching the news you know what is happening to that. Now what is a person to do. An old person at that. I can only pray and take it one day at a time.

God Bless Us All.
